The Reel Time Vessels
Our first vessel is a custom built Sea Tamer 'Eliminator' 7.4m aluminium boat. It is rated at 2C as well as 2D class, so we are able to charter offshore in search of Victorian mako sharks and southern blue fin tuna. Although, most of our work is chartered in Port Phillip and Western Port bays where Matt has gained a deservedly huge reputation for continually producing the highly prized gummy sharks, snapper and whiting.
The Sea Tamer has a very stable deck area plus a full hard-top providing comfort and adequate shelter from the elements. Built to fish, it is fitted with a double rack of rocket launchers which can see you on ultra light gear for whiting at the same time as mid-range gear for snapper and gummies, and all the time being prepared for that larger shark encounter.
Reel Time #1 has a perfect sized wheelhouse area for this style of boat. It has a lockable cabin that provides a private, plumbed toilet plus storage for the huge array of equipment required on a charter boat. Safety equipment is above and beyond marine safety standards with adequate life jackets, flares, radio's and a 'Hella' of a lot of lighting. Hella have showcased their sensational range of LED marine lighting aboard Reel Time, which ensures safety and comfort for the crew and customers.
Powered by twin Honda 135hp four stroke engines, the Honda's are whisper quiet with huge torque to propel the large loads that you can expect with a boat load of customers. The top end speed of 70kmh at 5800rpm, with a full boat gives us the capability of fast travel to where the action is, providing customers more fishing time in productive waters.
Fitted out with all the bells and whistles, Reel Time only use the best when it comes to sonar equipment. An impressive Furuno FCV585 colour sounder gives a magnificent image of the bottom at all speeds and a Furuno Navnet VX2 colour GPS/chart plotter is essential for accurate and safe navigation, particularly at night.

Matt is owner and operator of Reel Time Fishing Charters which has been established for over five years. Matt's enthusiasm and passion for fishing has helped build his business to be one of the busiest and most successful charter operations in Melbourne. Matt is a well known and trusted identity in the fishing industry and has graced the covers of many fishing magazines due to his impressive fishing exploits. He is also a regular co-host on foxtel's Fishin' Trip and channel 31's 100% Pure Fishing.

Matt has co-skippered with Reel Time Fishing Charters for the last couple of years on a part-time basis. Due to an increased volume in clientele, we have been able to expand the business to two boats and have been fortunate enough to employ Matt as a full time skipper. Matt lives and breathes fishing and his experience and accuracy is second to none. His fishing endeavours have taken him around Australia and abroad and his knowledge of our local waters is an absolute asset to our business and our customers.
